November 15, 2007somewhere in middle america
So I had the best burrito of my life the other night. We were in Omaha and played the Sokol Auditorium. The show was a little bit weird, but still fun. After the show we got out of there pretty quick because it was a 9 hour drive to Denver. As we were puling out of the parking lot George said he wanted to eat… we saw a little Mexican place and decided to stop. They were just closing up… 9 minutes left so we ran in and ordered. I got a veggie burrito and some rice milk. No joke, this was the best burrito I’ve ever had… and I’ve had my fair share of burritos. I think I’ve had one kind of Mexican food everyday on this tour so far, I’m pretty much a Mexican connoisseur. Not trying to brag or anything
Today was a day off and we did our laundry and got some more delicious food… the usual. Right now we are driving back to Omaha from Denver… I never thought I would have to make this miserable drive twice in 2 days… but we are about to. Hopefully none of you will have to. So I’ve been way behind on my television… I haven’t seen the last 3 episodes of The Office or the last 4 of Heroes or even South Park. As amazing as South Park is… I’m pretty glad that I haven’t been home wasting my life watching tv. I’ve been reading and making the most of this tour, just taking it all in. One day at a time. When I watch tv, I feel like I am rushing too much, because you get so much trivial information or just a story all through in this one little 30 minute to 1 hour morsel of time and it just makes everything feel rushed and like things need to happen NOW. When I’m reading I feel fine taking my time, like I have a lifetime to read all the books I want to read, I don’t have to watch 40 episodes in a week or whatever I happen to watch, Anyway... we have a show in Des Moines tomorrow, hopefully it wil sell out, I’m looking forward to it, we haven’t played Des Moines in a while. We missed it on our headlining tour in September when we had to cancel, so it’s good to be coming back. I’m pretty pumped for thanksgiving as well… I’m going to go eat with Nicole’s family and then hopefully get down to see my family at Aunt Ruth and Uncle Lenny’s house for a bit.

November 12, 2007tourzilla fun
Haven’t posted in a while but it’s been such a crazy tour. I don’t
think I’ve ever been so busy on tour. The tour is such a great
opportunity and I’ve been trying to take full advantage of everything…
talking to every kid at the show and selling as many cds as we can…
hopefully it’s working. So far we’ve been having so much fun playing
for all these kids every night. We’ve never played for so many kids
except in our hometown and in Japan.
The Detroit show was pretty insane… the first show back on Tourzilla in America where we were playing for tons of kids… 1000 kids was so awesome to play for. The show was a lot of fun and kids were going crazy. It was also good to finally play a show where we knew people and people knew us. That show was so fun. Next night was Milwaukee… I drove till about 3 in the morning to find a hotel and the next day we drove the rest. We played at the rave… it’s the craziest venue ever, so huge and scary. There’s a haunted pool in the basement and just so many crazy passageways and different areas. The show was crazy, it was 1800 people and half of that were ghosts. The ghost kids were crazy and liked to jump a lot. The hoodie is such a hit and I think it looks really good... kids are really liking it. I’m glad we finally have a good piece of merch haha… We’ve always had just mediocre merch and finally kids actually want to buy our shirts and hoodies. Perhaps it’s just this incredible tour but it might be a bit of both. Chicago was the next night (last night) and it was so awesome. The sound was the best we’ve had yet and kids were really into it. I had so much fun. It was great to see Quinn again. I can’t wait until he can come back on tour, if our crew next year is Quinn, Ian, Delicious and BQ it would be insane. The past few shows Mike and Adam came out as well and it was great to see them too, reminded me of all the old tours where we’d stay with them for days at a time. Good times. Tonight is Omaha… it was another lonnnnggg drive, and so is tomorrow. I am not so excited about the drives or about being so tired and constantly getting sick... but everything else about this tour is absolutely the best thing to ever happen to our band. It’s so awesome that boys like girls took us out and we owe them forever haha. There was supposed to be a show in Utah after Colorado but apparently we’re not even on that show. It would have been so insane… if that was the case, we’d have to drive to Iowa… a 21 hour drive… if we left at midnight we’d get to Iowa the next day at 9pm…. Which would have been completely impossible. So it sucks we won’t be on that show but it’ll be fun I think. Anyway... here we are in Omaha and it’s time to get some work done. Brendan

November 1, 2007happy halloween
this tour is going to be so insane... i can already tell after just one day. it's so professional and everything just gets done so quickly and professionally and well. i'm so stoked about it. our new hoodie is a hit, we sold so many last night, it was insane! hopefully we can do that well every night with it. we're trying our best.the other night our gps broke and we were driving into Canada, i drove because no one else would do it. It was a tired drive, passed through the border with no problems and made it to Vancouver. Vancouver is a really cool looking city, lots of apartment buildings that are all about the same size surround the city and make it look so huge. Its not like a bigger city where there are a few huge buildings and then very few that come close to it … all the buildings were similar height and spread apart. It was strange to look at. I drove around for about 2 hours trying to find a hotel because our gps was broken and we can’t use our cell phones up here, so we had to drive to everyone and ask how much and do it the old fashioned way. I feel like I’m touring in the 1990’s. but like I said, the show was really fun and I’m really excited for this whole tour. The drive out was a really strange couple of days, I felt like I was stuck in this limbo and couldn’t get out, but now that the tour has started, I feel good. today we are driving for 12 hours to get to Edmonton, Alberta. My cousin’s live there, but I have no way of contacting them. I’m sure they wouldn’t recognize me anyway, I hadn’t seen them in probably 5-10 years. The scenery on these drives have been so incredible. Snow capped mountains and just beautiful amber and golden colors everywhere because of the fall. Bq loves bird watching so he’s got his binoculars out and his bird guide and we’ve all been looking out for birds. We’ve seen many hawks and some normal birds, but on this drive through British Columbia we saw a bald eagle! It was pretty exciting… bird watching doesn’t sound like too much fun, but it would surprise you haha. We also saw some pretty incredible animals like 2 feet from our van. We saw like 3 or 4 huggeeee white wolves just walking along the side of the road toward us in the snow. One even had a carcus in his mouth. We saw 2 black bears and a fox. And then this gigantic buck was on the side of the road just staring at us… snorting our steam, trying to intimidate us… and it worked. It was pretty out of control. Anyway it’s time for a food stop so I must go, but here’s some pictures from the tour so far.
